On Thursday, August 8th, 2024, Vice President Prof. Nagasaka, Prof. Watanabe, and Prof. Tanaka met with Prof. Nguyen Trung Viet, Chairman of the Tohoku University Alumni Association in Vietnam (TUAAV), along with 20 other members who participated both in person and online, for a productive discussion on future collaborative projects. The meeting was hosted by Thuyloi University.

After the meeting, the delegation and Alumni Association members enjoyed a friendly dinner at a traditional Vietnamese restaurant in Hanoi.

With the strong support of TUAAV, Tohoku University is committed to welcoming more students from Vietnam, not only for Master's and Ph.D. programs but also for Bachelor's degrees.
