On Saturday, August 10th, more than 60 high school and undergraduate students attended a Tohoku University presentation at the campus of Universitas Bakrie in Jakarta.

The event, named "IATU's Day," was organized by the Ikatan Alumni Tohoku University of Indonesia (IATU) and its chairman, Prof. Ardiansyah.

During the event, Vice President Prof. Nagasaka and Prof. Suematsu highlighted Tohoku University's strengths and academic programs, while International Officer Bitti introduced the Alumni Network Platform.

The event was hosted by alumnus Dr. Andy Holic, who also facilitated a lunch meeting with other Alumni Association members.

The day concluded with a productive open discussion, where alumni shared their experiences at Tohoku University.

This event served as a powerful showcase of the opportunities our university offers and is sure to inspire a new generation of students from Indonesia.

The following day, on Sunday, August 11th, the delegation moved to Yogyakarta, where they met with eight Indonesian alumni for an informal lunch meeting.

The alumni reminisced about their study years at Tohoku University while discussing new ways to promote the university's study abroad programs.

Like the August 10th event, this gathering further strengthened the unity of the Indonesian alumni community, which continues to contribute significantly to promoting Tohoku University.
