On December 27th, the Italian Alumni Association held its first official gathering in Sendai, celebrating the occasion with the Christmas Party 2026.

Six members of the Association took part in the event, including Vice President Davide Bitti. The evening was an opportunity to enjoy Japanized Italian food in a friendly atmosphere and, above all, to exchange ideas and discuss the future activities of the Association.

The event was further enriched by the presence of a special guest, Professor Giorgio Casacchia, former Professor of Chinese Philology at the University of Naples “L’Orientale”, who is currently based in Sendai. His participation added cultural depth to an already meaningful occasion.

This first gathering marks the official beginning of the Italian Alumni Association’s activities in Sendai, laying the foundations for future initiatives both offline and online, with the aim of strengthening connections within the Italian academic and alumni community in the region.
