On Friday April 24, More than 70 students from 25 different countries gathered today for the first Tohoku University Alumni & Students Lunch Meeting of the 2026 academic year organized by the Alumni & Outreach Team, represented by Officers Davide Bitti and Yusuke Hamabata.

Over a delicious Italian-style buffet, participants shared their experiences, their journeys, and their aspirations here in Sendai.

The academic year has just begun, but it’s already clear that many meaningful connections—and friendships—have been formed.
