Professor Armando Hideki Shinohara, who earned his doctoral degree from the Graduate School of Engineering at Tohoku University, has been awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon in the 2026 Spring Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals by the Government of Japan. The honor recognizes his outstanding contributions to promoting academic exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and Brazil.
